My name is Jacob Kroitor, and I’m a film editor.

The wonder of great storytelling brought me to film.  Growing up watching movies, I’ve always been fascinated by how different movies can be just based on the director.  Over time, I’ve developed great respect for a strong vision.  My goal in my art is to understand that vision and tell the story through the edit that honors it.

Regarding projects I’ve worked on, I’ve edited numerous short films, a children’s series, was an assistant editor for the tv pilot, Peace Baby, I’ve edited nearly a dozen trailers for short films, and wrote/directed my own short film as well.

Storytelling is my passion, and I enjoy bringing others’ visions to life.  Currently, I’m finishing an MA in Digital Content and work as a graduate student assistant helping existing film students with their films. I will be moving into freelance editing full-time upon graduation.
